We love Heriz carpets. Many rug collectors, dealers, designers, and private individuals buy and collect heriz rugs. Heriz is a very small town close to the city of Tabriz in north west Iran.

Heriz rugs have cotton foundation and thick Lamb’s wool pile when they are new. By the passage of time and foot traffic, the pile wears out and goes down and the rug becomes thinner. Heriz rugs have geometric designs and in most of the case, you see a big geometric medallion in the center of the rug.

This client of ours had not cleaned this big 12′ x 17′ family Heriz rug for 35 years. We cleaned and brought this beautiful carpet back to life and he fell in love with it again.

This is another beautiful Heriz carpet that we recently washed and restored. We rewove all the damaged areas.

Repair was done by one of our on-site master weavers under our strict supervision. The client loved the result and gave us a very old and beautiful but damaged antique Persian Malayer rug for cleaning and repair.
