In my previous post, I wrote about Nahavand carpets and rugs. It is rare to see a Nahavand runner. We have a wide and long Nahavand runner in our rug gallery here in Los Angeles. The size is 3′ 5″ x 17′. It is dated in Farsi (Persian) 1355 which equals 1976. Like other Nahavand rugs, it has semi-depressed warp and symmetrical knots. It has few geometrical medallions with birds, peacocks and horses.
