We love to repair tapestries. Many of them are beautiful objects of art on walls, and make good conversational pieces in our clients homes.

We receive tapestries for cleaning and repair very often.In many case, they are made of silk and wool. Usually the silk part get damaged more than the wool parts. Here I am posting pictures of an 8′ x 10′ tapestry we received for cleaning and repair. The silk parts were rotten.

Many areas of this beautiful and big tapestry were damaged. It took us three weeks to repair and restore this tapestry. Our client lived in Santa Barbara, almost 100 miles north of Los Angeles. She had dropped it off but after the tapestry was ready she wanted us to ship it back to her which we did.
