We picked up a Tabatabaei (Taba) Tabriz carpet for cleaning from a client’s house two weeks ago. Apparently his dog had repeated accidents on this beautiful 12′ x 15′ rug for years and when this happens, the yellow stains become permanent and this also results in dry rot and holes in the rug. The stained areas had severe moth damages as well. We first deep cleaned this rug which was contaminated by dog urine. We then reviewed several repair options with the owner and he wanted us to cut and secure the damaged end along the width which we did. We also replaced the binding and the selvage on one side of the rug. The repair took three days and one of our repairmen did this in our workshop adjacent to our rug store. This rug was delivered and our customer was very happy to have his cleaned and repaired rug back.
