Many of our clients who give us their rugs for professional cleaning also ask for rug repair. In some cases they like us to down size their rugs. This maybe because of moving to a smaller home or some parts of the rug is damaged or some other reasons maybe involved.
In this particular case, our client wanted us to make a runner out of his carpet. We first cut the runner and then did the bindings on the sides by hand by one of our repair staff on site. For the bindings and the repair we use New Zealand lamb’s wool. In some cases for the repair, we dye the yarn to get the color of our desire if we cannot find the right color in our yarn inventory.
