At Rug Ideas we have encountered this problem many times. First we had the kilim deep cleaned/sanitized/deodorized. Then one of our weavers did the repair so that it wouldn’t be apparent that the customer’s cat had their way with the rug. Take a look at the results below:

The results came out great! And on top of the cleaning and repair we did some extra detail work on the rug. Extended threads on the back of the Kilim were sticking out past the sides and was a bit of an eyesore. Take a look below:
