Dogs scratch the ground and cats scratch the rugs. Cats mark their territories with scratching and this can be a work out, stretching and yoga for them as well. It gives them pleasure and it feels good to scratch. You can get your cat a scratching pole (sisal is recommended), but she still may scratch you rugs. Thanks for sharing the info. My cat alwasy scratches the rugs. I am a big fan of rugs and just because of the cat i'm not buying very expensive pieces.
