My beloved Ardabil carpet has been on display for a few weeks at Los Angeles County Museum of Art LACMA as part of Gifts of the Sultan exhibition. This will end on Monday September 5, 2011. If you can, pay this wonder carpet a visit before it is put back into it’s permanent bed (tube!) in the basement.

It is too bad that it cannot be on permanent display. An area carpet this beautiful shouldn't be in a basement.
